Plato together with Platone are part of the Plato Collection designed by Jeff Miller from 2006 to 2010 and produced by Baleri Italia. Plato and Platone are multifunctional complements, which can be used as seats, sidetables, stackable containers. Made of solid natural ash wood, moka ash or Carrara marble with ground support in red natural wool felt.
After 5 years as vice president in Ecco Design, Jeff developes his own furniture and wares; many of which explore the inherent structural properties of manipulated materials, and aim to present big ideas from simple means. From this vision, the projects developed with cerruti baleri were born, simple products in the shape and lines with a high technical content from the material and processing point of view. Jeff has received numerous design awards and his works have been widely exhibited and published.
Baleri Italia, founded by Enrico Baleri and Marilisa Decimo in the 1984, is the iconic brand of the 20th Century the years of sobriety and rigor of forms/functions, the ultimate expression of a certain pragmatic and unattainable design idea; in pursuit of the perfect, non-obsolete, non-flashy, consistent and international object. Evergreen objects and collections, signed by great masters and newcomers who then became the references in terms of style, giving life to a classical-contemporary universe that now has found its vitality, production, communication and commercial strength.
